About Miquila
I am an author passionate about exploring the rocky beauty of relationships. My most recent writings especially explore the relationship to oneself through the transformation of matrescence.
I hold an MFA in Writing from California College of the Arts and a BA from the University of California, Berkeley.
My work has appeared in The Denver Syntax, Sparkle + Blink, and Writing Without Walls, amongst other places. You can find an interview I did a while back for SF WEEKLY here.
In recent years, I've been immersed in my role as a stay-at-home mother. I live with my husband and our three little girls in the North Bay of California.
Thank you for being here.

In 'Motherhood Reimagined', I share heartfelt stories and insights that challenge traditional narratives around motherhood. This collection serves as a resource for those seeking understanding and connection in their own journeys.

More of my published pieces can be found in The Denver Syntax, Tour, The Medulla Review, Out of Our, Be About it and other Sparkle and Blink books.
